Women’s Cell Promoting Safety, Respect, Dignity and Equal Rights
The Women’s Cell functions as an Internal Complaints Committee dedicated to safeguarding the rights of female students, faculty and staff. It provides a secure and confidential platform for addressing grievances and ensuring justice. The Cell works actively to create a safe and respectful campus environment, free from discrimination and harassment.
It is responsible for examining complaints related to women’s grievances, including issues of sexual harassment in the workplace. The Cell also promotes awareness about health, hygiene and personal well-being to ensure a healthy atmosphere within the college. Through regular seminars, workshops and lectures by specialists and eminent personalities, it educates the campus community on preventing violence against women and fostering gender equality.
Objectives
Objectives of the Women’s Cell
The Objectives of the Women’s Cell aim to ensure safety, dignity and equal opportunities for women on campus. It strives to prevent harassment, address grievances promptly, promote awareness on gender issues and empower women through education and support initiatives.
- To resolve issues pertaining to girl's / women’s sexual harassment.
- To equip the female students, faculty and staff members with knowledge of their legal rights.
