Academic Activities

Various academic activities like Orientation classes, Intercollegiate Quiz competitions, various national and international seminars have been conducting every year for both UG and PG students.

Intercollegiate Quiz Competition for PG Stuudents

Thubunkal N Ramakrishna Pillai Memorial Inter collegiate Quiz Competition was inaugurated on January 200by Prof. K.R.Ananthapadmanabha Iyer, our former Principal and the quiz master was Prof. P.J Joy, Associate Professor ,Dept. of Mathematics, K.E college Mannanam.
18th Inter collegiate Quiz was conducted by Dr. Sunil .C . Mathew , Associate professor, St. Thomas college Palai, on January 2019 . Devagiri college Calicut won the first prize.
19th Inter collegiate Quiz was conducted by Dr. Ullas Thomas ,Assistant Professor, S.B college Changanacherry on January 2019 . Devagiri college Calicut won the first prize

Orientation classes for UG and PG students

Student orientation is a period before the start of an academic year at a university or a College . A variety of events are held to orient and welcome new students during this period. Orientation programming aims to introduce students to both the academic and social aspects of an institution as they transition from high school. Every year Mathematics Department conduct Orientation class for our new students.

Occasional Lecture series for PG students and faculty members from various colleges

It is one of the prestigious events of our department.. It was inaugurated by Rev. Dr. Joseph Varghese, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, Christ University Bangalore in 2016.
On 26th October 2017 the second occasional lecture series was conducted by Dr. Subrahamanian Moosath K S, HOD Department of Mathematics, IIST, Thiruvananthapuram on differential geometry
Professor P. .J Joy and Dr. Sunil C Mathew take inspirational classes on the topic real analysis.
On February 2019 we conducted another lecture series on Spectral Theory by Dr. Jijo S Associate Professor in Mathematics, Victoria College, Palakkad.
