Social Work

The year 2020 was a memorable one in the history of Ettumanoorappan College in many ways. The Department of Social Work commenced functioning in the college that year, offering the undergraduate course Bachelor of Social Work(BSW). The pandemic situation and its related public issues and social problems have brought about a greater need for professionally trained social workers, at the national level and even at the global level. Since its inception, the department has been functioning with the objective of providing professional social work education to those students who have a genuine interest in this field. The BSW course offered by the department is a three – year, full time undergraduate course (6 semesters) and it is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala.
